Walmart Puerto Rico has launched a limited-edition reusable bag collection in collaboration with Waldemar Lozada, a multidisciplinary artist from Naranjito.

The line, available in all 18 Walmart stores on the island, features Lozada’s prints inspired by Puerto Rican culture and centered on themes of diversity, resilience and beauty.

“This project is much more than a bag collection: it is a platform to celebrate our roots, foster cultural pride and bring Puerto Rican art into the daily lives of thousands of families,” Lozada said. “For me, art has been a tool for healing and growth, and it is an honor to share it through this initiative with Walmart.”

The collaboration is part of Walmart Puerto Rico’s effort to encourage sustainability through reusable bags while also strengthening ties with local suppliers and creators. Company officials said it is the first in a series of initiatives to showcase Puerto Rican talent, support the creative economy and position the arts as a driver of well-being.

“At Walmart, we believe in the transformative power of art and the talent of our people,” said Coral Cummings, director of government relations and public affairs for Walmart Puerto Rico. “We are proud to work alongside Waldemar, as well as with all the local suppliers on our shelves, to offer quality, practical products that highlight Puerto Rican talent.”

The company said the collection seeks to merge sustainability, culture and community engagement, inviting people to view everyday shopping as a reflection of Puerto Rican identity and pride.
