Resident Commissioner Pedro Pierluisi scored an important victory for himself and the island’s nautical tourism sector Tuesday, with the approval from U.S. House of Representatives for HR 2838, which authorizes foreign-flagged vessels that are more than 100 gross tons to transport tourists and other paying passengers between ports within Puerto Rico.
The American Road and Transportation Builders Association, an organization based in Washington representing 5,000 members in the transportation industry, named Abertis' Jordi Graells, “Private Sector Entrepreneur of the Year” for the group’s public private partnership division.
