Wireless carrier Claro announced Wednesday it will begin selling the iPhone 4S starting Nov. 11, starting at $99.99 for the 16GB model, $199.99 for the 32GB model and $299.99 for the 64GB handset. The carrier will also offer the older iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS models.
The Puerto Rico Land Authority will preserve 1,000 acres of wetlands as part of an agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The wetlands, which help prevent flooding and pollution of rivers, lakes and streams, to be preserved under the settlement are mostly in Loíza, and will now be protected from future commercial and industrial development.
The island’s five wireless carriers will be ready to implement the Commercial Mobile Alert System in April, making it possible for them to send simultaneous messages to all of their customers on the island related to any emergency situation.
