The Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands district office of the U.S. Small Business Administration recently chose Eniel Torres-Ojeda, president of Productos La Finca Inc., to receive its “2014 Puerto Rico Small Business Person of the Year” award, during the closing ceremonies of Small Business Week on the island.
Over the weekend, Liberty Puerto Rico began offering the highly requested NBA TV sports channel to all of its Ultimate Plus and Ultimate Sports tier customers. Customers can tune into channel 180 in the Ultimate Plus tier and channel 280 in its High Definition lineup (HD) to access the channel’s lineup.
Puerto Rico’s revenue collections for the month of April fell significantly below estimates, short by $442.3 million at $1.18 billion, but up by $196 million year-over-year, the Treasury Department said in a release distributed after the end of business Friday.
