Almíbar Summer Beer Fest debuts in Vega Baja with craft brews, music

Vega Baja will host its first-ever beer festival with the debut of the Almíbar Summer Beer Fest on July 19 at the José Francisco Náter Public Plaza. The event, organized by Almíbar Coffee & Beer Gallery, begins at 2 p.m. and is free to the public.
The festival will feature more than 30 craft beers, food vendors, local artisan booths and live entertainment. Performances will include Skapulario, Sol D’ Menta, Inzomnia and Orquesta Los Friends, with DJ Sergio hosting and performing throughout the day.
“This festival is born from the collaborative efforts of young Vega Baja entrepreneurs who believe in what can be achieved when the community comes together,” said DJ Sergio. “We want to create an authentic experience for the community.”
The event is supported by La Mega 106.9 FM and the Vega Baja municipal government. Organizers said it aims to promote beer culture in Puerto Rico’s northern region and support the town’s cultural and economic development.
They also hope to attract visitors from across the island, showcasing the local talent, creativity and pride of Vega Baja.
