$1.5M Crunch Fitness gym to open in Plaza del Caribe
Crunch Fitness Club has been operating in Puerto Rico since 2014, when it opened its first store in Carolina.
Crunch Fitness Club will open its newest location in Puerto Rico in March, a $1.5 million, 30,000 square-foot gym at Plaza del Caribe in Ponce, company officials announced Monday.
The facility will be located near the mall’s Caribbean Cinemas, PF Chang’s and Romano’s Macaroni Grill. The gym will create more than 25 direct and 100 indirect jobs once operational.
“Crunch Fitness is a gym where people can feel like they are exercising at home, among friends, in a place where they feel safe and where they will get specialized care along with expert recommendations,” said Pablo Acosta, owner of the franchise in Puerto Rico, with his wife Herminia Ortiz.
Crunch Fitness Club has been operating in Puerto Rico since 2014, when it opened its first store in Carolina. While the Ponce location will open in March, the gym is already taking registrations at a temporary office located on the second floor of Plaza del Caribe.
