Dot Ai, a technology company focused on real-time asset tracking, has opened its first manufacturing facility in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico, following its recent listing on the Nasdaq stock exchange.

The site will serve as the production hub for the company’s proprietary hardware, including the Zero Infrastructure Mesh (ZiM) Bridge and smart industrial-grade asset tags. Development of the facility was carried out in partnership with Invest Puerto Rico, the island’s economic development organization.

“This facility strategically positions us to meet growing demand as supply chain and logistics operators face increasing pressure to reduce costs, improve reliability and optimize efficiency,” said Ed Nabrotzky, chief executive of Dot Ai.

The hardware manufactured in Puerto Rico will be integrated with the company’s cloud-based software to deliver what it describes as real-time asset intelligence across enterprise networks. Initial production includes two ZiM Bridge variants, each configurable for tracking assets in sectors ranging from logistics and manufacturing to utilities and education.

Dot Ai said the facility has already created skilled jobs and will scale hiring over the next five years as operations expand. The company declined to specify how many jobs are currently supported.

The Barceloneta facility also fulfills orders for clients including Würth Industry North America. Company executives said the decision to locate in Puerto Rico was based on the island’s labor pool, geographic position and business climate.

“With our new facility in Puerto Rico, we’re scaling to meet rising global demand and delivering even greater value to organizations that rely on real-time Asset Intelligence,” said Bob Reny, Dot Ai’s chief revenue officer.

The facility contributes to Puerto Rico’s broader strategy to attract high-tech manufacturing and logistics firms. It was announced in May and completed in collaboration with Invest Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Co.

Dot Ai’s platform integrates artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technologies to support data tracking and operational analytics in real time. Company representatives said they are targeting industries that still rely on legacy inventory systems and manual processes.
