5th edition of P.R. Investment Summit slated for March
The Puerto Rico Investment Summit, the Caribbean’s foremost investor’s conference, will celebrate its 5th edition March 2-3, at the Puerto Rico Convention Center, organizers announced.
This conference offers participants the chance to learn about Puerto Rico’s tax incentives program, the island’s competitive advantages and new investment opportunities arising from the protracted fiscal crisis.
Multi-million dollar investors like John Paulson and Nicholas Prouty have identified Puerto Rico as a key place to do business, and are building several real estate projects on the island.
Meanwhile, international companies such as Lufthansa, Honeywell, Microsoft and Hewlett Packard have also identified business opportunities in recent years, and have moved operations to Puerto Rico.
“This summit provides the information that investors and business people are looking for in Puerto Rico,” said Brenda González-Santini, chairwoman of the 2017 Puerto Rico Investment Summit.
“There is a lot said about the fiscal crisis, but there’s a great story of opportunity here because of our tax incentives, costs, human resources and privileged location,” she said, adding “it is a must-see conference for those interested in investment opportunities.”
In past editions, keynote speakers have included top executives, tax experts, institutional investors, investment bankers, private equity professionals, and professionals who see Puerto Rico as a business destination, among others.
The event provides a dynamic forum and the opportunity to establish important contacts both from Puerto Rico and abroad, she said.
The Puerto Rico Investment Summit is a private event that provides a unique platform where investors, executives, government and private companies meet. More than 2,000 people have already attended prior editions in San Juan, featuring presentations by more than 100 public and private companies worldwide.
