Enlace Empresarial organizing mission to DR trade fair

“Expocibao,” the largest and most important multi-sectorial fair in the Dominican Republic is taking place Sept. 10-16.

Professional organization Enlace Empresarial and Puerto Rico Trade and Export are inviting local entrepreneurs to an upcoming business conference to promote local exports in “Expocibao,” the largest and most important multi-sectorial fair in the Dominican Republic. The event will be held Sept. 10-16, and the delegation of local companies will be participating Sept. 10-14.

Enlace Empresarial President Luis Torres Llompart this event is “an excellent opportunity for our entrepreneurs not only to exhibit their products and services but to establish contacts to identify business opportunities in the neighboring country.”

Using funds provided by the Small Business Administration’s State Trade Program, Puerto Rico Trade will sponsor up to 15 small or mid- businesses whose products and/or services are at least 51 percent made in Puerto Rico or the U.S. mainland to participate in a business roundtable during the upcoming event.

“We believe this event will be of great benefit to all companies interested in achieving or increasing sales in the Dominican Republic and Latin America,” he said.

Enlace Empresarial is an organization that promotes the export of local products and services to the Caribbean and the rest of Latin America. It grew out of a trade mission conducted in 2010 to the Dominican Republic, in the interest of continuing efforts to promote the exchange of goods and services between the neighboring island and Puerto Rico, as well as the rest of the Caribbean region and the United States, including securing contracts with the federal government.

Companies interested in taking part in next month’s event have until today to reserve their space, by calling 787-294-0101 ext. 2106 or emailing [email protected].
