Flagship Mazda opens new $2.6M dealership in Cayey

Bella Group, the distributor of Mazda in Puerto Rico, has opened a new $2.6 million Flagship Mazda dealership in Cayey, continuing the brand’s expansion across the island. The project generated 25 direct and indirect jobs during construction.
The facility was developed under Mazda’s global Retail Evolution design concept, which emphasizes open spaces, natural materials and a customer-centered layout. Company officials described the opening as a key step in strengthening the automaker’s presence in Puerto Rico’s central region.
“With this opening, the number of Flagship Mazda dealerships in Puerto Rico increases to six, further strengthening the brand’s presence in the local market with modern facilities that embody Mazda’s evolution into an accessible premium brand,” said Carlos López-Lay, CEO of Bella Group.
Located in Cayey’s Montellano neighborhood along Road 1, the dealership took about a year to complete. It includes a 4,500-square-foot showroom featuring a lounge-style waiting area, office space and a full-service workshop with parts and maintenance areas designed for faster, integrated service. The dealership also offers online scheduling options.
“These new facilities elevate the customer experience in the central region and reflect Mazda’s commitment to sophistication, service excellence and long-term customer relationships that extend well beyond the point of sale,” López-Lay said.
