The Puerto Rico Techno Economic Corridor Inc. (PRTEC) has announced a new public private partnership initiative and the creation of a business incubator for young farmers and agricultural science students in Isabela, the Finca Explora Program: Agribusiness Incubator and Processing Center.
Regardless of their size, the number of residents, or the fiscal problems they have, U.S. cities under fiscal control boards have faced a formula that consists primarily of the firing of public employees, pension cuts, an increase in the cost of college education, and a reduction in essential services, such as health.
Gov. Ricardo Rosselló presented Wednesday a budget of $9.5 billion to Puerto Rico’s Legislative Assembly, which guarantees essential services and pension payments, and which also makes contributory justice for the citizens of the island, he said.
