International Coastal Cleanup Day, an international event held for nearly three decades, takes place this Saturday with more than 17,000 volunteers expected to participate in Puerto Rico, according to local organizers.
The Northeastern Technological Initiative, a nonprofit known as INTENE for its initials in Spanish, recently teamed up with the Business and Communities Finance Corporation and the municipality of Carolina to host a summit that drew more than 100 entrepreneurs looking for support and information on how to establish their own business.
Now more than ever, meeting planners are seeking out convention locations that incorporate “green” practices into their day-to-day activities. In Puerto Rico, groups can be assured that meeting and hotel facilities make the grade, the Puerto Rico Convention Bureau said Wednesday.
