Technology giant Intel will expand the scope of its “Intel Teach” program to Puerto Rico, where it will provide training to some 21,000 public school teachers, Gov. Luis Fortuño announced Thursday morning.
Puerto Rico Trade and Export’s Expo Partners service is offering local companies an opportunity to work with international trade experts to develop and implement a plan to expand the scope of their products or services beyond the island’s shores.
Believing there is “uncertainty surrounding Cooperativa de Seguros de Vida de Puerto Rico’s ability to generate consistent and sustainable positive earnings from its core lines of business,” respected insurance industry monitor A.M. Best Co. has revised the company’s outlook to stable from positive and affirmed the financial strength rating of B- (Fair) and issuer credit rating of “bb-.”
