Popular Insurance forges alliance with J. Jaramillo Insurance

Banco Popular

Popular Insurance announced an alliance with General Agent J. Jaramillo Insurance, through which the latter will offer its services to Popular in some areas of its business, as well as to independent insurance agents who are now processing their property and casualty policies through Popular Insurance.

“This general agent, in addition to having a team of professionals, also has the vision and expertise to ensure that our insurance producers will continue getting the service and products they are accustomed to,” said Ramón D. Lloveras-San Miguel, president of Popular Insurance.

“We’re confident that this partnership will make us more effective in addressing the challenges of the future and will allow us to focus resources on innovative business initiatives for the benefit of all our customers,” Lloveras-San Miguel said.

J. Jaramillo Insurance is an independent general agent founded on May 1, 2009 authorized to manage property and casualty, surety, life, disability, title, and health insurance, as well as reinsurance. The company will provide its services out of the Corporate Office Park offices in Guaynabo where Popular Insurance is headquartered.

Popular Insurance — founded in 2000 with a current payroll of 130 people — will remain in charge of handling life, health and disability, annuities, employee benefits, title insurance and miscellaneous insurance services.

“We want customers and producers to know they will still receive the same service to which they are accustomed,” said Juan Jaramillo, president of J. Jaramillo Insurance. “We seek to strengthen, with this alliance, the services that have been provided through Popular Insurance.”
