Seguros Múltiples adopts drones for faster inspections

The Cooperativa de Seguros Múltiples de Puerto Rico has begun using drones in its inspection and risk assessment processes, a move the company says will make its operations faster, safer and more precise.
The drones will allow inspectors to collect detailed data, identify damage earlier and access areas that are difficult to reach, improving both risk evaluations and post-incident assessments.
“At Seguros Múltiples, we rely on technology as an ally in our mission to protect our policyholders,” said Yamil J. García-Díaz, the company’s president. “The integration of drones is a clear example of how we continue to innovate to provide a more agile, accessible service focused on the country’s real needs.”
For prospective policyholders, the new system also allows the insurer to offer tailored risk management advice aimed at improving property safety and helping clients protect their assets.
“The use of drones transforms the way we inspect properties, reducing response times and facilitating a safer and more comprehensive assessment,” said Wanda Grau, vice president of underwriting and claims. “This represents a great advantage for both our team and our policyholders.”
The initiative, developed jointly by Seguros Múltiples’ underwriting, claims, loss control and operations divisions, is part of the company’s broader effort to modernize its operations and improve internal coordination.
