Seguros Múltiples opens call for youth poetry competition

Cooperativa de Seguros Múltiples has announced the opening of the call for the 20th edition of its Youth Poetry Contest, inviting middle and high school students “to show their poetic talent and share their vision of the world through poetry.”

The first-place winner will receive a $500 prize, with second and third places awarded $400 and $300, respectively. The teacher of the first-place student will also receive a $300 prize.

“At Seguros Múltiples, we firmly believe in the power of the written word to express emotions, ideas and dreams. As we reach the 20th edition of our Youth Poetry Contest, we’re proud to be part of the creative journey of so many talented young people,” said Yamil García, president of the company. “This contest not only celebrates poetry as a form of art, but also recognizes and rewards the creativity, originality and personal expression of our youth.”

An independent jury of recognized professionals in Puerto Rico’s cultural, educational and literary fields will evaluate the poems based on content, form and originality.

The deadline for submissions is April 25. For additional questions, call 787-622-8585, ext. 2401.
