St. Regis Bahía earns Michelin honor, turns new page
Paulson Puerto Rico is marking a milestone for the island’s hospitality industry after The St. Regis Bahía Beach Resort became the first hotel in Puerto Rico to receive a One Michelin Key.
The international distinction recognizes properties “that deliver exceptional experiences in hospitality, service and design.”
The award was announced Oct. 8 in Paris during the presentation of the Michelin Guide 2025.
The recognition closes one period for the property and begins another as it prepares to reopen in late 2025 under the Four Seasons Resort Puerto Rico name.
“The One Michelin Key distinction represents the legacy built over the past 15 years of The St. Regis Bahía Beach and the promise of what’s to come,” said Rolando Padua, president of Paulson Puerto Rico.
“This achievement is a testament to the talent, passion and dedication of the extraordinary team that made this chapter possible,” he said.
For more than a decade, Paulson Puerto Rico has overseen the Bahía Beach Resort & Golf Club, emphasizing environmental management, high-end amenities and design integrated with the site’s natural setting. The company said the new recognition adds to prior distinctions within Puerto Rico’s hospitality sector.
Company executives said St. Regis Bahía Beach employees will stay on the property to receive training consistent with the standards of the Four Seasons brand.
