With an investment of $2.5 million, Applebee’s will inaugurate its fifth restaurant on the island on Dec. 7, becoming the first market to introduce a new architectural design to be adopted by other restaurants nationwide.
Puerto Rican sister companies Apple Caribe Inc. and Famous Caribe Inc., operators of the Applebee’s and Famous Dave’s chains, respectively, will create a total of 460 full-time jobs supported by the incentives provided through the Jobs Now Act passed by the current administration a year ago.
Guests and visitors to the new Hyatt Place Bayamón & El Tropical Casino will be able to grab a bite at Applebee's, slated to open when the hotel inaugurates in December, officials said Tuesday.
