AT&T Puerto Rico will be receiving the first shipment of iPhone 4S devices, in black and white casings, this Friday, when stores will open at 8 a.m. for customers who did not pre-order Apple’s latest smartphone, company officials announced Tuesday.
Smartphones make up 40 percent of all mobile phone in use in U.S. markets, according to a recent study by Nielsen that also shows that 39 percent of those smartphones run on the Android operating system, followed by the Apple iPhone operating system.
Saying that the proposed merger between AT&T and T-Mobile would “hinder wireless market competition,” the Puerto Rico Justice Department joined its federal counterpart lawsuit to block the transaction, an action News is my Business anticipated earlier this month.
