Global biopharmaceutical company AbbVie announced Wednesday the expansion of its Barceloneta plant, at a cost of $30 million, to add to Puerto Rico’s capabilities as a manufacturing destination for biotechnology.

Restaurants Operators Inc., owners of the Olive Garden franchise in Puerto Rico, announced Wednesday the start of construction of its third restaurant, representing a $3 million investment in the northern town of Barceloneta.
