Ciencia Puerto Rico (CienciaPR), the largest network of Puerto Rican scientists in the world, will launch today its #ConCienciaPR campaign to raise funds that will help the organization to expand its programs for students and educators.
Puerto Rico native Mónica I. Feliú-Mójer, vice-director for Ciencia Puerto Rico and Science Outreach Program Manager for iBiology, has been selected to receive the 2016 Inspiring Women in STEM Award from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine, CienciaPR announced Tuesday.
Nonprofit organization Ciencia Puerto Rico has received a $1.6 million, five-year grant from the National Institutes of Health to establish, in collaboration with Yale University, an innovative program to transform the training of young scientists on the island and stateside.
