Two information technology students from the University of Puerto Rico’s Mayagüez Campus will join a select group of competitors from 23 countries around the globe that will take part in the IBM Master the Mainframe World Championship a first-of-its-kind, premiere enterprise computing competition.
The jury of “Producibles,” a product design competition managed by Design in Puerto Rico (DIPR), selected five proposals from four Puerto Rican designers to represent the island at the Wanted Design NYC international fair in May in New York City, Carlos Bobonis-Colorado, director of DIPR announced Monday.
A delegation comprising 27 teams of elementary, middle and high school students will be traveling to Anaheim, CA next month to represent Puerto Rico in the VEX Robotics World Championship 2014, the Puerto Rico Institute of Robotics announced.
