The challenges that Puerto Rico’s construction sector is facing, driven primarily by fiscal constraints and volatility in certain markets, will remain a constant in the next two years, when the industry will have to be creative to move forward, a well-known economist said during a recent forum.
The Puerto Rico Society of Certified Public Accountants will host the 6th annual Construction Industry Forum Jan. 18, kicking off with an analysis of economic trends and prospects for the industry by several local economists.
Banco Santander Puerto Rico recently awarded $9.3 million in financing for the development of the San Germán Surf and Fun Waterpark planned for that municipality.
