Following a successful event last year, the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association and the Caribbean Tourism Organization announced Friday that the annual Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Investment Conference will return to Puerto Rico in 2012 and 2013. The event represents an economic boon for Puerto Rico and draws attention to the island as an ideal convention destination.
Miami-based United States Hispanic Women Chamber of Commerce will expand its reach to Puerto Rico later this year, when it holds its “Connecting Women, Empowering Minds” convention on the island, event organizers said this week.
Puerto Rico is gearing up to welcome more than 1,200 travel agents from 120 countries who will participate in the American Society of Travel Agents' annual convention, slated for April 14-17.
