Hyundai de Puerto Rico recently donated highly specialized ophthalmological equipment to the Rio Piedras Medical Center’s Pediatric Hospital to help prevent eye conditions in premature infants.
The American Red Cross Puerto Rico Chapter recently recognized FirstBank’s commitment with the community and its $10,000 donation to assist families affected by Hurricane Irene and the torrential rains unleashed by storms Emily and María last year.
To help break the economic dependence cycle of female victims of domestic violence and other socially disadvantaged women, FirstBank awarded a $5,000 donation to Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico (BCPR) to provide training in sewing and work for 34 weeks to two participants of Casa Protegida Julia de Burgos and Hogar Buen Pastor.
