The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Community Disaster Loan program has approved more than $247 million for 62 municipalities throughout Puerto Rico.
As the one-year anniversary of Hurricane María approaches, the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation will join the San Juan FEMA Disaster Recovery Center on Sept.13-15th to provide disaster relief aid to Puerto Rican communities, representatives said.
To date, the FEMA Public Assistance program has obligated more than $3.4 billion in total funding to the government of Puerto Rico and municipalities, the federal agency stated.
