Car sales in Puerto Rico have shown no significant change from month to month so far this year, as figures for the first seven months of the year have not changed significantly from one month to the next, the United Automobile Importers Group (known as GUIA for its initials in Spanish) said.
Fourteen local non-profit organizations in Puerto Rico will be expanding their environmental conservation efforts this year after being awarded a total of $40,000 by Ford Motor Company’s Environmental Grants Program.
Puerto Rico’s automobile sales reached 7,736 units last month, 400 units less than the 8,136 cars that rolled off the lot in May 2012. The decrease represents a 4.9 percent market reduction, according to numbers released Monday by the United Automobile Importers Group (known as GUIA for its initials in Spanish).
