InterContinental Hotels Group announced Thursday the completion of a $22.2 million renovation of the iconic, Morris Lapidus-designed InterContinental San Juan, one of the Caribbean’s most recognized properties.
Paulson & Co. Inc., a New York-based investment firm, announced Monday it has acquired a majority interest in the Condado Vanderbilt and La Concha Renaissance Hotel and Tower, and the accompanying Condado Vanderbilt condominium towers in San Juan, for $260 million, including costs to complete construction of the Vanderbilt.
The $38 million Hyatt Place & Casino Atlántico opened its doors Tuesday in the northern town of Manatí, looking to establish itself as the place to stay for medical tourists and executives of nearby pharmaceutical and manufacturing plants, hotel executives said.
