Walmart Puerto Rico is investing $11 million to add 30,000 square feet of new space to the Humacao store that anchors the eastern town’s Plaza Palma Real mall, company officials confirmed Wednesday. The remodeled store will be re-inaugurated Dec. 8.
The Punta Santiago Natural Reserve in Humacao is working on the final details to become the island’s first ecotourism reserve, following an investment of more than $4.2 million to prepare facilities and hire staff, government officials said after a tour of the facilities late last week.
Contract manufacturer Legacy Pharmaceuticals PR, LLC announced Monday investment plans to expand its Humacao complex, where it produces and packages a variety of over-the-counter and prescription drugs in tablet and liquid forms.
