Ford Motor Company announced the next phase of its $1.2 million “Centro de Movilidad Social” initiative — a program designed to provide supplies and services to hurricane-devastated communities across Puerto Rico.
The textile, retail, and services association, TRSA, donated $10,000 to Puerto Rican nonprofit organization ConPRmetidos to contribute to recovery efforts on the island, the group announced.
Hurricane María caused historic record damages in infrastructure and business interruption, impacting all dimensions of the economy, including the labor market, the energy sector, tourism, public finances, destruction and damages of homes as well as causing massive outward migration, mostly to the U.S. mainland.
