Aerostar Airport Holdings, operator of San Juan’s Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, is breaking ground on a new $7 million warehouse and office building complex that will become the hub for Federal Express in Puerto Rico, this media outlet has learned.
Saying the airport is operating at limited capacity, Luis Muñoz Marín Airport and government officials urged passengers with confirmed flights to go to the airport, which has a significant backlog of traffic in the wake of Hurricane María.
Airline food service provider Carolina Catering Corp. on Monday blasted the management of the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport — Aerostar Airport Holdings — for allegedly endangering the Torrecilla Lagoon habitat through the construction of a concrete plant nearby.
