AT&T de Puerto Rico announced Monday it has activated six new 4G mobile Internet cell sites in five towns to boost coverage for area residents and businesses and provide speeds up to four times faster than 3G.
It took Sprint about two years and $60 million dollars to complete, but on Wednesday the wireless carrier announced the availability of its next-generation 4G LTE network throughout Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Wireless provider T-Mobile Puerto Rico is moving forward with its local expansion, adding new stores and infrastructure to continue enhancing customer service and signal capacity, Jorge Martel, company general manager said during a news conference Thursday.
