Portland, Ore.-based Banfield Pet Hospital, considered one of the world’s largest veterinary practices, announced the opening of its first Puerto Rico location, in the San Patricio sector of Guaynabo. The new hospital is located inside PetSmart and will open in February 2014.
Specialty pet retailer PetSmart opened its 10th store in Puerto Rico this week, an 18,000 square-foot location at the Mayagüez Town Center. The store generated 30 new jobs, the company said.
Pet goods retailer PetSmart announced Monday the upcoming openings of two new stores in Puerto Rico, to be located in Plaza Fajardo and Rexville Town Center in Bayamón. While the first store is slated to open Aug. 5, the latter will begin serving pets, and their owners, in September.
