Oriental Bank has launched a new digital platform that seeks to make it “fast and easy” for small and medium-sized Puerto Rico businesses to apply for and manage commercial credits through the life cycle of their relationship.
As part of a sweeping inter-agency effort, and backed by Code for America, government officials announced this weekend the birth of PrimerPeso.com, an online platform that aims to give start-ups and established small businesses in Puerto Rico the tools needed to access financing to launch or expand their operations.
Just 12 days after the Puerto Rico government implanted the TweetMyJobs platform, some 4,497 people have registered on the website to start their search for jobs, the Economic Development and Commerce Department said Wednesday.
