Millionaire investor and developer Nicholas Prouty, who has called Puerto Rico his home for five years, said Monday the U.S. government must provide the island at least $40 billion in funding for relief and recovery efforts.
With a $108 million investment, Nicholas Prouty, managing partner of Putnam Bridge, announced Tuesday the beginning of construction of Ciudadela’s third phase, which will include five towers, commercial spaces and private amenities for residents.
The laws set forth by the current administration to lure investors and companies to Puerto Rico are not the only attractions the island has to offer, said Nicholas Prouty, CEO of Putnam Bridge Investments, to a roomful of business location experts and economic development professionals.

OPEN Puerto Rico received what it called “a strong vote of confidence” this week from Nicholas Prouty, CEO of Putnam Bridge Funding LLC, who made an undisclosed donation to help the organization continue its efforts to facilitate and promote transparency in Puerto Rico.
