Latitud Sur, a “pop-up” restaurant that will open in Ponce as part of the North to South Gastronomic Fair taking place Sept. 19-22, will gather some of the island’s best chefs who will offer contemporary Puerto Rican food during the eatery’s short stint in front of Sears Home Life at the Plaza del Caribe mall, organizers said.
The LongHorn Steakhouse chain announced Monday the opening of its first and largest restaurant in Puerto Rico, located in Plaza del Caribe in Ponce.
Its arrival has been 10 years in the making, but next Wednesday the wait will be over. On Aug. 28, The Cheesecake Factory, the California-based casual dining restaurant — best known for its over-the-top cheesecake desserts — will open its doors in Plaza Las Américas in Hato Rey.
