Microsoft Corp. unveiled Tuesday its new Office 365 software suite, a reinvention of the company’s flagship Office product line for consumers. Office 365 is a subscription-based service that resides in the cloud accessible from anywhere and that works across up to five devices, including Windows tablets, PCs and Macs.
“App Idol Reloaded,” the sequel to the application and video game design competition launched last year to uncover talented developers in Puerto Rico, will kick off next week, organizers announced Wednesday.
Marco Casarín-Junco, who officially took over the task of steering Microsoft Corp.’s Puerto Rico operations as general manager this week, believes the island’s operations — which include sales, manufacturing and, in November, a store — are key for the corporation and must be fully developed and capitalized upon.
