As Puerto Rico finds itself in the midst of furthering its role in the knowledge economy on a large scale, the Puerto Rico Agricultural Biotechnology Industry Association (PRABIA) and the Mayagüez campus of the University of Puerto Rico signed Tuesday a collaboration agreement that will benefit the agronomists that graduate each year.
The University of Puerto Rico’s Mayagüez Campus, known as RUM, has been selected among 25 U.S. institutions by the NSF-funded National Center for Engineering Pathways to Innovation (known as Epicenter) to join the Pathways to Innovation Program.
Credit ratings agency Standard & Poor’s affirmed Tuesday the “BBB-” rating of the University of Puerto Rico bonds, Series P, Q and O, giving them a stable outlook.
