Visa: Latin American commercial spending at $7.8T in ’11

Visa Inc. released its annual global Commercial Consumption Expenditure index, which estimates that commercial spending — including small, medium, large and governments — in Latin America and the Caribbean reached $7.8 trillion dollars in 2011.

Puerto Rico’s Olympic delegation traveled to London with $1,200 worth of Vanilla Visa gift cards to cover their expenses while at the games, thanks to an agreement between the Puerto Rico Olympic Committee and InComm Puerto Rico, the company announced.
