The Box provides step-by-step renovation planning for all experience levels

The Box is a modular tool designed to help users organize and manage renovation projects more effectively.

Puerto Rico-based architect and interior designer Edwina González has launched The Box, a renovation planning tool designed to simplify the often complex process of redesigning residential or commercial spaces.

Developed from more than 25 years of project experience, The Box is intended to help users avoid costly mistakes and stay in control from the start.

“The Box is the result of everything I’ve learned in my career. I created it so that anyone, regardless of experience, can feel confident and in control of their project,” González said.

The tool presents a step-by-step system to guide users through the renovation process. It is aimed at a broad audience, from first-time homeowners to design students and emerging professionals. The methodology is divided into three standalone but complementary modules:

  • Box 1 focuses on planning, budgeting and scheduling
  • Box 2 covers design principles and organization through each phase
  • Box 3 addresses contractor selection, bidding, construction and maintenance

Each module includes educational content, worksheets, practical strategies and “E.go Tips” — guidance based on González’s real-world experience. She noted that renovation planning resources are often limited to professionals or high-budget projects and said her tool seeks to fill that gap.

The Box is available for purchase online as individual modules or as a complete set for a comprehensive experience.

“More people should feel empowered and enjoy the process of transforming their spaces,” González said.
