ALPFA hosts excel workshop for college students

The Puerto Rico chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals for America, known as ALPFA, recently hosted its second annual Excel workshop program during which a group of undergraduate students from different universities had the opportunity to learn the software program.
Alejandro Rodriguez, director of finance for ALPFA Puerto Rico, offered the event that took place at Foundation for Puerto Rico’s El Colaboratorio facilities in Santurce.
“This group of young students demonstrated great potential and leadership by taking from their personal time to help grow and develop their skills,” Rodríguez said. “Contributing to our island’s future is very gratifying.”
At the end of the event, students were granted a one-year membership to attend ALPFA events.
ALPFA is the leader in the development and diversification of Hispanic professionals for companies in the US organization. The Puerto Rico chapter has more than 400 members and seeks to develop business leaders in all sectors of the industry through informative workshops, social fraternization, executive panel discussions from various branches and participation in educational conventions, chapter President Raúl Palacios said.
