About 3,000 school supplies were delivered by DDR’s Puerto Rico shopping centers to six nonprofit organizations that provide services to children and youth of school age.

The effort was part of the community initiative “This Back to School, Say Present,” organized by marketing managers at their respective DDR Puerto Rico shopping centers during the months of July and August.

“We are very excited about the contribution of our customers and of all participants. We received thousands of donations for the benefit of: Casa de la Bondad in Humacao, Hogar Fátima in Bayamón, Hogar Cuna San Cristóbal in Caguas, CREARTE in San Juan, CODERI in Río Piedras and Hogar Jesús Nazareno in Isabela,” said Martha Hermilla, senior marketing director of DDR Puerto Rico.

“Puerto Ricans are generous people and it was demonstrated again with this community initiative,” she said.

The participating shopping centers were: Plaza del Sol and Plaza Río Hondo in Bayamón, Plaza del Norte in Hatillo, Plaza Palma Real in Humacao, Señorial Plaza, Escorial Plaza, Plaza Fajardo, Plaza, Plaza Isabela, Plaza del Atlántico in Arecibo and Plaza Vega Baja.
