Arcos Dorados generates 4,430 jobs in Puerto Rico

Arcos Dorados, operator of the McDonald’s brand in 20 Latin American and Caribbean markets, reported creating more than 4,400 jobs in Puerto Rico in 2024, reaffirming its role as one of the island’s largest employers.
The numbers are part of the company’s 2024 Social Impact and Sustainable Development Report, which highlights its focus on job inclusion, particularly for first-time workers.
“Arcos Dorados generated 4,430 jobs through 2024 in Puerto Rico, reaffirming its role as one of the main drivers of job inclusion, especially for people in their first professional experience,” the report stated.
The company also emphasized professional development. Its free MCampus Community platform, with more than 300,000 users, offers more than 45 courses in Spanish and Portuguese. In Puerto Rico, “Personal Finance” was the most popular course.
Arcos Dorados also produces the podcast “Expande tu Potencial,” available on Spotify and other platforms, with content aimed at career growth.
The report noted that more than half the energy used in its restaurants comes from renewable sources. Social impact programs raised more than $8.6 million, and more than 4 million liters of cooking oil were recovered for biodiesel and cleaning products.
