Chick-fil-A opens Isabela location, adding 120 jobs in western Puerto Rico

Chick-fil-A is continuing its expansion in Puerto Rico with a new restaurant opening June 26 in Isabela, marking the company’s eighth location on the island.
The restaurant at Plaza Isabela is expected to create about 120 jobs.
Chick-fil-A Inc. named Puerto Rico native David Firpo as owner-operator of the location. Born in San Juan, with family roots in Cabo Rojo, Firpo brings years of experience in finance and operations to his new role.
His decision to join the company was influenced by an experience at a Florida Chick-fil-A restaurant and encouragement from his daughter, he said.
“Growing up in Puerto Rico, I was surrounded by a culture of warmth, resilience and community — a spirit I carry with me every day,” Firpo said. “My hope is that every guest who walks through our doors feels welcomed and completely at home.”
The restaurant will operate Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, carry-out, drive-thru, Uber Eats delivery and catering services. It will feature a multi-lane drive-thru with an outdoor canopy to improve service flow.
Firpo also plans to support local organizations, including Escuela Superior Vocacional Dr. Heriberto Domenech and the Isabela municipal police. The restaurant will also take part in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, which donates surplus food to area nonprofits.
