Cooking with my Doctor lands airport deal, expands to US Walmart stores

Cooking with my Doctor, a Puerto Rican brand focused on healthy cooking, announced new products and retail expansion during the 2025 Chamber of Food Marketing, Industry and Distribution (MIDA, in Spanish) Conference and Food Show.
Cooking with my Doctor was founded to provide nutritious, additive-free seasonings. Its products are gluten-free and free from MSG and artificial dyes.
The company launched three new seasoning blends under its “Pónselo a” line — Pónselo al Steak, Pónselo al Chicken and Pónselo al Fish — each tailored for red meat, poultry or seafood. The blends are available in 5.75- and 16.5-ounce formats and contain no artificial coloring or additives.
The brand also announced its entry into Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in Carolina, with products now sold at El Market stores inside the terminal.
“We’re excited to land in the Caribbean’s most important airport and bring our healthy and delicious offering to thousands of travelers. We want everyone who tastes our products to feel the flavor and love of our island,” said Rafael Barrera, chef and co-founder.
Available products include Sofrito with Turmeric, Adobo with Moringa and Turmeric, Sazón with Moringa and Turmeric, La Criolla Sauce and Asado BBQ Rub with Chipotle.
In addition, Cooking with my Doctor will begin distribution stateside on Sept. 5. Walmart is slated to carry its sofrito and garlic-based seasonings in 70 stores across Florida and New York.
“We are filled with excitement and pride to make our products available and to reach this agreement with Walmart,” said Ernesto Herger, a physician and co-founder.
Distributed by Caribbean Produce Exchange, the company’s seasonings are already sold in Sam’s Club and other supermarkets in Puerto Rico.
