Local AI, tech experts to convene at E-Business Day 2024

Puerto Rico’s technology sector will have their day to exchange ideas in forums, analyze new trends in e-commerce, as well as do some networking at the E-Business Day 24 event, slated for March 14 at the Microsoft headquarters in City View Plaza, Guaynabo starting at 9 a.m.

Since its beginnings at the Caribe-Com Technology and Telecommunications Convention in 1998 — due to the need to educate companies on how technology and digital advances would shape commerce — E-Business Day “continues to be at the forefront in presenting solutions and B2B digital business services,” said Ernesto González, CEO of Socius Digital and coordinator of the event.

“Since technology has grown and evolved at such a rapid pace, it is time to pave the way once again by fusing the human touch with Artificial Intelligence to enhance the online consumer experience,” said González.

E-Business Day is an event for entrepreneurs, e-commerce enthusiasts and business professionals, offering a unique opportunity to network with like-minded people, learn from experts in the field, participate in informative workshops and participate in discussion panels.

The tech meeting is a forum in which those interested in technology from different areas such as business, government and academia converge and exchange visions and perspectives of the field.

The event also has the endorsement of the Electronic Commerce Association and the Puerto Rico IT Cluster.

The activities will begin with the presentation of the official proclamation of Digital Business Day. Among the topics to be presented will be, “Understanding Artificial Intelligence in Business,” “Robotics and its Integration in the New Workforce,” “Cybersecurity in Business,” “Virtual Communication; Improving the Customer Experience,” “Digital Marketing and Electronic Commerce in Puerto Rico; Challenges and Opportunities” and the presentation of e-commerce case studies.

Among the guest speakers will be Gino Villarini, CEO of Aeronet; Rodrigo Diaz, CEO of Unlimited Studios; Andy Kaplan, district manager of Microsoft Puerto Rico; Daniel Kleshick, CEO of Kleshik LLC;  Luis Mojica, Cyber Security Team Leader of Software One; and González, among other speakers.

“This is a great opportunity to learn how to increase income using new e-business technologies and learn about new trends, particularly the integration of Artificial Intelligence. Also connect with various suppliers and local technology experts,” said González, who was the creator of the first advertising agency dedicated to Internet Marketing and founded the first chapter of the Interactive Audit Bureau (IAB) in Puerto Rico.
