The Puerto Rico Minority Supplier Development Council will host its annual Opportunities Fair on Feb. 28 at the Puerto Rico Convention Center, to give suppliers engaged in offering value-added propositions to multinational corporate organizations the chance to contact people with decision-making status when making purchases for their companies.

“This is the forum for all those companies that want to expand their business both in Puerto Rico and the United States as the Council really has the knowledge and industry contacts to determine what is necessary to take that supplier to a more competitive level,” said Jacqueline Marie Matos, PRMSDC president.

Another goal of this event — which will run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. — is to help suppliers become more integrated with the nonprofit to learn form themselves that this is a platform to connect with the corporate world as well as supplier to supplier.

Matos said there are many well-developed suppliers that are successfully operating in Puerto Rico. Additionally, PRMSDC partners are committed to buying from industries that are certified as bona fide minority business, she said.
