The U.S. Department of Labor’s Job Corps program began a new free education and training program cycle July 1 and is accepting applications from eligible young people, ages 16 to 24 who are looking to learn a career, earn a high school diploma or equivalent credential and find and keep a good job.
U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced Monday the agency is accepting applications for grants to provide access to education, training and healthcare resources in rural areas.
The first “Hackers Boot Camp” held in Puerto Rico last month produced more than two dozen applications and solutions to improve services within agencies and with island residents, of which the government has chosen five to follow up on, Chief Information Officer Giancarlo González announced.
