Paulson Puerto Rico kicks off 3rd edition of internship program

Paulson Puerto Rico has launched the third edition of its internship program, welcoming six university students from Puerto Rico and the mainland United States for a six-week immersive experience across the company’s core business sectors.
The program is designed to give students hands-on exposure to projects currently under development and provide insight into the operations of a diversified firm with interests in hospitality, real estate, automotive and office management.
“We’re very proud to see how our program continues to grow, both in the number of applicants and the impact it has within our company,” said Rolando Padua, president of Paulson Puerto Rico. “This program is an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the business world and to understand firsthand how a diversified and constantly evolving company like Paulson Puerto Rico operates.”
This year’s participants are pursuing degrees in public relations, advertising, business administration, finance, marketing and management. Represented universities include the University of Southern California, The George Washington University, the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, Interamerican University of Bayamón and Bryant University.
For the first time, the program includes a permanent slot for Kinesis Foundation scholars, with two students from the foundation participating in this year’s edition.
Interns will work closely with senior company leaders and are expected to present their findings to the executive team at the end of the program.
“The students will be working on a key project that the company is actively evaluating for implementation,” said Marian Juliette Medina, Paulson’s director of corporate communications. “A dedicated committee will guide and support them to ensure their work plays a crucial role in the project’s development and feasibility analysis.”
