Sol Puerto Rico to use Shell brand for another 10 years

Under the agreement, Sol Puerto Rico will have the exclusive right to continue to use the Shell brand through its network of service stations across Puerto Rico.
The Sol Group and Sol Puerto Rico Limited, the exclusive distributor of Shell Fuels in Puerto Rico, announced Wednesday the extension of the licensing contract for the use of the Shell brand in Puerto Rico for another 10 years.
Under the agreement, Sol Puerto Rico will have the exclusive right to continue to use the Shell brand through its network of service stations across Puerto Rico.
That also means continuing to offer local customers the Shell lineup of products, including nitrogen enriched gasolines, Regular and V-Power fuel “top tier” options.
“Honoring Sol P.R.’s mission and vision, we offer the Puerto Rican consumer technology and innovation by providing the highest quality fuels developed through Shell’s leadership in global technology,” said Darío Amadeo-Cedó, general manager for Sol Puerto Rico.
“We also recognize the trust and ease we provide our clients through the support of a local professional management team that has first hand knowledge of the Puerto Rico market and through our island-wide network of service stations and other local support functions such as marketing, engineering and environmental protection,” Amadeo-Cedó added.
The agreement also lays the foundation for an upcoming investment to redesign Shell service stations islandwide. The makeover will start in December.
Attempts to reach the company for more details on the planned investment were unsuccessful, as the contact person assigned to handle media inquiries was not available Wednesday. Numerous attempts to reach other Sol Puerto Rico officials were also unsuccessful.
